Mulwala Water Ski Club
The Mulwala Water Ski Club is the Yarrawonga Mulwala region’s premier venue for live entertainment, sport, dining or just plain relaxing. Featuring stunning views of Lake Mulwala from our Malibu Deck, our renowned restaurants, bar and coffee lounge are the perfect place to get together for a meal, enjoy a quiet drink, or catch up with friends over a hot cappuccino.

The Mulwala Water Ski Club was officially opened on 11th December 1982, and began operating as a modest club in 1983 boasting 21 poker machines, a lounge area, dining room, snack bar and 400 members.
Built on land adjacent to the old Mulwala Sawmill and Cypress Gardens Caravan Park the Ski Club was first known as Paradise Water Ski Club with elected President and life member Max Kirwan at the helm.
At the time of its construction Mr Kirwan said the Paradise Water Ski Club could eventually be the headquarters for water skiing in Australia.
Mr Kirwan wasn’t far off the mark as the Mulwala Water Ski Club now boasts one of the best water skiing facilities in the world.
The addition of the Water Ski Park facility in 1993 rocketed the Mulwala Water Ski into world class status. The club soon after hosted the World Disabled Championships and has held various international and national events since.
In 2004 the Mulwala Water Ski Club hosted the World Barefoot Water Ski Championships. The park also hosts one round of the Australian Pro Wakeboard Tour each year along side the club’s Freestyle Sports Expo, which attracts more than 10,000 spectators.
Many national and world champions return to the ski park facility each year to train for their respective events.
Since 1983 the club has expanded its membership base to 6,000. The club now boasts two dining areas (La Porchetta and Golden Chinese Restaurant), a sports lounge, cocktail lounge, kids area, coffee shop and a large gaming and entertainment lounge.
In addition to the main clubhouse the ski club has also built a pro-shop and has acquired the adjacent holiday park inclusive of lake front cabins and villas and camping sites.
